What we do

What we do

CyberWest stands at the heart of cyber security in WA, acting as a lighthouse for partnerships, capability building and commercialisation across the sector.  The hub engages across multiple sectors in WA including mining oil and gas; agriculture, freight and logistics, defence, and technology transfer opportunities with digitally focussed small and medium-sized enterprises.

CyberWest's priorities for 2023 include supporting growth and commercial opportunities for the cyber security sector, building capability in the next generation of cyber professionals, and improving cyber security awareness and preparedness in all WA businesses.

Our focus

The three key themes of the hub are:
  • Critical infrastructure
  • Cyber Crime
  • Big data

We conduct this work under three key methods:
  • Partner
  • Build
  • Commercialise

Direct and indirect job growth for the state falls within the remit of the Hub and we work closely with state government, industry, business associations and academic institutions in WA to achieve this.
