About the Hub
CyberWest Hub was established in 2018 as part of the AustCyber Industry Growth Network, and was known as the as the Western Australian AustCyber Innovation Hub.
On 1 March 2023 CyberWest Hub, the WA Cyber Security Innovation Hub, was launched as a state-based Hub. Its mission is to improve the state's cyber security posture, create employment in the cyber security sector, and diversify the economy.
CyberWest Hub is co-funded through the WA Government’s New Industries Fund and Edith Cowan University and City of Joondalup. The team is co-located in the Joondalup Innovation Hubwith the Cyber Security Cooperative Research Centre, the ECU Security Research Institute, ECU Securing Digital Futures theme leader, and ECU Defence Research at ECU's Joondalup campus.

Industry Advisory Board
The strategic objectives and implementation of the Hub’s workplan is guided by an Industry Advisory Board. The board members are representatives of the cyber security community and reflect the Hub's capability and strengths. Membership terms are for a period of two years.
