Calling All Cybersecurity Professionals! Become a Mentor in CyberSET 2024 ![]() Are you passionate about cybersecurity and eager to make a difference in the lives of aspiring young minds? We invite you to join CyberSET as a mentor and guide high school students who are keen on pursuing a career in cybersecurity. By becoming a mentor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and shape the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. CyberSET CyberSET provides a range of industry-linked courses at four different levels, aimed at introducing WA students between Years 7 and 10 to the field of cybersecurity, including specialised courses tailored for neurodivergent students. CyberSET offers a structured curriculum, engaging workshops, and ongoing support to equip all students, including neurodivergent individuals, with the fundamental knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital landscape securely. Industry professionals are invited to exress your interest in providing weekly mentoring for one term in 2024 as part of the program. Program Overview:

CyberSET is a program by Curtin University in partnership with Cisco Systems, Amazon Web Services (AWS), STEMSmart, Trustwave Holding, CyberWest, Women in Technology WA (WiTWA) and Association of Independent Schools of WA (AISWA). The program is funded by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources.

CyberWest is inviting Expressions of Interest to be part of our industry advisory committee for the CyberWest Summit 2024. ![]() The CyberWest Summit Committee (CWSC) will play a crucial role in Summit planning, ensuring the event is reflective of industry requirements both in terms of business development opportunities for the cyber industry and cyber education and discussion for non-cyber professionals. We are looking for 7 to 9 representatives from the cyber sector, and other industries, to support us in the following aspects of planning for the CyberWest Summit: Strategic Planning: Defining the Summit theme and target audiences Program development: Identifying key topics and themes that should be covered, identifying keynote speakers and others to invite to present, review presenter proposals and provide recommendations. Feedback on final program prior to release. Sponsorship: Providing advice on sponsorship packages and where appropriate facilitate introductions to potential supporters from industry. Promotion & Outreach: Provide input and advice on event promotions and promote through own networks to ensure Summit is well attended. Committee members will act as ambassadors for CyberWest and attend the Summit. Requirements of CWSC Members
